Desde às 7h do dia 10 de agosto até às 23h do último dia 12 a esmagadora maioria das unidades operacionais da PMBA permaneceu com as viaturas paralisadas até que fosse feito um acordo entre as Associações da PMBA e o Governo estadual, inclusive as unidades especializadas, braço direito do Estado. Os policiais militares do nosso estado permaneceram trabalhando somente com policiamento a pé e em módulos durante as 40h que durou o movimento. Os motoristas negaram-se a dirigir as viaturas por não possuírem o curso específico para tal, exigência do Código de Trânsito Brasileiro e não respeitada por nossos governantes. Aqueles que não possuíam equipamentos de proteção individual obrigatórios – coletes com validade em dia – recusarem-se a realizar o policiamento ostensivo. Pasmem, na PMBA ainda existem coletes com validade vencida em utilização!
Posicionando-me como cidadã, pagadora dos meus impostos e amedrontada com o aumento em níveis alarmantes da criminalidade que vem assolando a sociedade soteropolitana, penso em como ficaria essa cidade abençoada por todos os santos, contudo, esquecida por todos os governantes com a deficiência ainda maior da segurança pública, do policiamento ostensivo, das viaturas nas ruas por um tempo maior. As conseqüências foram sentidas em arrastões e em noites violentas ocorridas durante o breve período que durou o movimento.
O Governo anunciou o fim do Polícia Legal com a chegada de 3200 novos coletes para a Corporação, início do curso de direção para veículos de emergência promovido pelo DETRAN para 150 policiais e análise do possível aumento salarial num prazo mais extenso. É mister que essa negociação seja realizada, que o Governo que anteriormente era oposição e incentivou a Greve dos PMs em 2001 (visando a candidatura, obviamente) dê, no mínimo, o tento merecido e analise potencialmente a pauta de reivindicações da PMBA, com vistas a um denominador comum. A sociedade baiana, cruelmente atingida, taciturna permanecerá, mesmo diante da omissão do Poder Público?

A categoria deve mesmo reivindicar por melhores condições de trabalho...como proteger a população se não possuem recursos para isso????
